Why would you want to farm Runes from collectors? If they add collectors for runes, the people who need them will more easily be able to access them, thus the prices would drop. That or they could customize the runes. If you can't see the reduction of grind in this, then I don't know what to say...

So, you're saying that there should just be NPCs in town who give away any item you want for free? That's the only way I can make sense of what you're saying.
Yes, there is still, some small amount of grind to get the items for a collector. There's still a massive difference between that and waiting for a Superior Vigor or 20% enchanting wrap or whatever to drop.

Nothing will Eliminate grind if you want your character to be better than the stock toon everyone gets at the start of the game. Missions are "grind", designed to reward you with exp and new locations to further improve the performance of your character.
The only true "non-grind" toon you can get in this game is a PvP stock build, and that leaves something to be desired in mods, skills and rune loadout. In order to improve even this character, you have to PvP a lot, win faction and "buy" skills, mods, runes and armor...else you will not have a decent fighter against those who do spend time building a character.
We're not trying to remove grind, we're trying to reduce grind, or distribute grind to make it less OF a grind. If everyone has to farm for money to get 20% weapon mods, thats boring grind. But if you can solo farm for money, group for collector items, and 5 man farm for greens, it becomes more dispersed.
Also, having another way to acquire mods and runes makes it easier to GET mods and runes, since you're not locked into 1 of 3 alternatives already in game: find them with a lucky drop, buy them from a trader (for runes atm) at insanely inflated prices, or buy them from players at equally inflated prices.
